Estimated value: 22 000-32 000 PLN

Model History
The car was powered by 1600cm3 4-cylinder 16-valve Nissan engine, which produced 96 horsepower sent to the rear wheels by a 4-speed manual gearbox. It was sold in Japan where its model name was Fairlady. This small two seater rwas built to compete with European cars like MG, Triumph, Fiat and Alfa Romeo. Production started in 1959 with a model codenamed S211. There were also several versions in the following years called SPL212 and SPL310. In January 1965 Datsun has introduced a brand new generation SPL311/SP311, where the letter „L” stood for LHD cars. Most of Datsun Roadsters were sold in Northern America and Japan. Total production reached about 10 400 cars.

Vechicle History
Presented at the PGE Narodowy auction Datsun 1600 is a project-car. It was imported from the United States, and all import duties were paid. This automobile‘s interior has interesting patina, and its body requires a complete restoration. Most body panels have only surface rust. This car is fitted with an unoriginal Mazda engine.
