Description

Registered in Scotland in March of 1975, HUS 524N was bought new by a Lady and proved to be her trusted and loved vehicle for the rest of her life.
During her ownership the car covered 56,000 miles some of which was pulling her beloved Caravan.
The car was then purchased by a leading Land Rover Dealership, who appointed Bishop’s Heritage (who have over 30 years’ experience with the RR classic model) to carry out a painstaking but sympathetic restoration of this remarkable example of an early Range Rover.
The owner had kept photographs of the car from when it must have been nearly new, and these photographs serve as a reference to the originality of the car today. The supporting invoices covering servicing and general motoring costs run from 1976 until the completion of its restoration in 2018.
HUS 524N’s restoration has been a painstaking process with every part that could be retained, carefully cleaned or refurbished. The chassis needed no welding and whilst the exterior panels have been replaced, the velour seats, carpet and rubberized mats, together with the switch gear were cleaned and refitted. Even the rear seat back retains its original factory paint. The car has its original ignition key as well as its tow ball and towing bracket.
Detailed photographic records are available showing the car before, during and upon completion of its restoration.
This is a unique opportunity to be the 2nd custodian of what must be the one of the best, iconic Classic Range Rovers.
For export, the car can be sympathetically converted to Left Hand Drive and air conditioning can also be optioned.
