Description

I am offering this Mercedes 300S coupé for auction.
I am a private enthusiast and due to a reduction in my collection, this car may be sold. I offer this car, as well described and honest as possible.

The car was delivered new to Mercedes Buenos Aires/Argentinia on 18 08 1953 in the color black, with a leather upholstery in the color beige brown 1066.
The car still has the correct chassis engine and body number. This was then sold after the first owner to a certain Alonso.

In the early 1990s this came into the possession of an old-timer enthusiast from Munich. This enthusiast stripped the paint in 1992 and had it repainted in the color DB350. The company FRITS WALLNER, known from various old-timer fairs, has restored it mechanically.

This car happened to be offered to an elderly person in Munich. After negotiation I bought this from him in 2009.

I did a small paint repair, fitted a new rear bumper and replaced a complete wiring harness.

Due to the poor condition of the covering of the headliner and carpet, have it reupholstered by a professional.

In order to have more comfort, Power Steering also known from various trade fairs has installed an electric steering wheel invisibly, the original steering rod is included, so that a possible original version is possible again. As well as every car has pluses and minuses, I'll put this in a nutshell:
Cons:
Radio - antenna is broken
Paint needs attention but is still beautiful
The bottom of the bottom still have the necessary attention
Shifting from 1 to 4 gears and backwards goes perfectly, but from 3 to 2 gears is a bit difficult.
To get a top performance, the woodwork can use either a new veneer or a layer of varnish.
Most likely due to the lack of use of the car, the engine is leaking a little oil

After the negatives, there are also the positives:
The electric wheelhouse
Mounted 1-2-3 ignition, original one is included
New wiring harness
To radio connection MP3 plug
Original suitcase set

The car has been technically checked today, with a daily inspection, which is more strict than an oldtimer inspection (MOT).

The 300S is stored in a well-ventilated garage.

The car can be viewed and picked up in Arendonk, Belgium. This Classic Car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button.
